An accurate intersect was required to cross two railway tracks, due to ground conditions made an intersect the best option. Casings were installed on both sides to avoid a gravel layer, with an entry casing of 30 meters and an exit casing of 24 meters.
The design allowed only a 35 meters of straight alignment window beneath the railway tracks to achieve the intersect.
The operation proceeded smoothly, resulting in a successful intersect.
At 196.38m long, probably the shortest intersect to date!
